Slow growing, compact broadly rounded plant to 2 to 4 feet high and wide. Hardy to about -15* F. Best in partial shade. Dark green glossy leaves. Beautifully waved and ruffled reddish purple flowers in mid spring. Best pruned after blooming before late June.
