Upright, oval growth maturing to very round habit. Foliage is dark green, obovate leaf shape with white hairs underneath. Fall color is copper to red. Male flowers are pendulous yellow-green catkins and blooms in May. Moderate growth rate. Moist to wet, deep, acidic soils.
